9 November 2024. Hardin Unit 113 Juniors met for their Monthly meeting today. In addition to reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and signing the Pledge, we also shared a copy of the Pledge in Braille. Each Junior was able touch and feel the Braille version. We watched a video on the meaning of Veteran’s Day and each Junior made a Veteran’s Day poster to be placed in the Legion thanking the Veterans for their service. We had three parent/grandparent Veterans present at our meeting. Each Veteran shared which branch of service they represent and spoke of their jobs/duties. We thanked our Veterans for their service. The Juniors also each made a Tree of Thanks, with each leaf of the tree being something they are thankful for. A big thanks to Roxanna Lee for donating the Tree of Thanks kits!

On Saturday 16 November 2024 two Juniors from Hardin Unit 113 attended the National Juniors Meeting in Nashville, TN. Lilia and Vivian were active participants in the Juniors Meeting. They learned about and developed their own 30 second elevator speech to tell someone about the Juniors Program. They learned about Wreaths Across America, the Military Child Table Setting, sang songs and made poppies, cards, keychains, decorated fans, and even came into the Senior Auxiliary Mission Training and participated in a candle ceremony. Great job Hardin Unit 113 Juniors!! You are leading the way!
