November 11, 2023
Hardin Unit 113 Juniors had their monthly meeting today, 11 November 2023, Veterans Day. We hadn’t met since August so there much to catch up on! The Juniors brought their patch program books and shared activities they had completed. It won’t be long until they begin to earn patches. Brayden’s challenge was to learn the colors of the flag and how many stars are on it. Bravo to him for completing his challenge! Way to go Brady! Abby and Brayden completed their Letters to a Veteran and were able to pass those letters on to Veterans of choice. Lilia was presented Certificates of Participation from Southern Division and National for her entry in the Essay Contest. Also, birthday cards were signed for Veterans at Radcliff Veteran’s Center. After the meeting the Juniors traveled to the Nature Park where they handed out Programs, American Flags and flag pins at the Veteran’s Ceremony. After the ceremony at the park, the Juniors headed back to Hardin Post 113 where they lead the Pledge of Allegiance prior to the bean and cornbread luncheon. These youngsters were eager to participate in the Veterans Day celebrations. A job well done Juniors!
