Today the Juniors met for the May meeting. They finished learning about the Heimlich maneuver and practiced what they’ve learned. They signed birthday cards for Veterans at RVC. As May is Poppy Month, we spoke of the meaning of Poppy and why we ask people to wear one. And as tomorrow is Mother’s Day, each Junior decorated a flower pot, placed potting soil in the pot and planted a petunia for Mom. The Juniors have been asked to hand out Poppies and programs, and to lead the Pledge at the Memorial Day Ceremony again this year. Awesome job Unit 113 Juniors!

American Legion Families came together once again to host the 2024 Memorial Day Ceremony at the Etown Nature Park. Legionnaires, Auxiliary, SAL, Juniors, young SAL, Riders and Color Guard were present. Many thanks to those who came out to help make the ceremony a success. A big thanks to the Junior Auxiliary and young SAL members who handed out programs, offered poppies, and who led the Pledge. Thanks also to those who prepared the lunch, set the flags, made the desserts and helped clean up.
