The May Junior’s meeting had carpenters and painters galore! Our Juniors said recited the Pledge of Allegiance, watched “The Poppy Story”, learned about poppies, and were busy builders as they made and painted wooden birdhouses from kits.
Thanks to parent helpers Laura and Chad and Grandpa helper John for assisting with the birdhouses.
Abby received her Auxiliary pin, and Brady received his Flag pin for Young SAL for attending their first Junior Meeting. Welcome new members!

Today’s Memorial Day Ceremony at the Etown Nature Park truly honored those veterans who gave all. Hardin Post 113 American Legion did an exceptional job organizing the event…from Commander Brian Knoch, to Chaplain Borg, Auxiliary President Jerilynn Kabel, Post 113 Honor Guard and those who prepared the complimentary lunch and set up the tables, and to those who set out the flags….a job well done! A big thanks to guest speaker Colonel O’Bryan and the Heart of Kentucky Chorus also!
Hardin 113 Juniors participated in the event by handing out Programs and Poppies. They also lead the Pledge of Allegiance. These Juniors are our future. Today they honored our fallen.
