Today, 10 August 2024 was the monthly meeting for Hardin Unit 113 Juniors. After the meeting was called to order, Brayden led the Pledge of Allegiance. Isabella and Dawson were presented their Poppy Certificates from last year, as they had moved out of state for a year and are now back home. Three new Juniors were present at our meeting. Grace, London and Laney received their Auxiliary pins and were welcomed to our Unit. We all introduced ourselves and shared how we are related to a Veteran/servicemember. We began our study of The Constitution …beginning with where the Pilgrims came from, how they came to arrive in America and why they decided to leave England. The Juniors made a donation of more than 60 items to the School Supply box in the Lobby, thus completing their task to “Give 10 for Education”. And lastly, Juniors and their parents pulled weeds all along the front of the Legion and placed their painted rocks scattered along the front of the Legion. Our hope is that if you see a painted rock, you’ll smile and think of the Rock Star Juniors of Unit 113. After all of the hard work, we enjoyed a nice treat of watermelon before ending our meeting. A big thank you to all of the parent helpers. Again, we welcome our new members. Way to go Juniors!
